Kellan was raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts (with High Honours) in Economics at the University of Regina in 2010, where he was the recipient of the Dr. Jack Boan Medal in Economics. Kellan then attended law school at the University of Victoria. He returned to Saskatchewan to commence his law career in 2014.
An avid sports enthusiast, Kellan currently plays men's rugby in Regina. Kellan is also involved in the community - he has served on the Board of Directors of Inclusion Saskatchewan (formerly the Saskatchewan Association for Community Living) from 2015-2021, an organisation that advocates for the inclusion of persons with intellectual disabilities into society.
He maintains a solicitor practice specializing in real estate, business & corporate law, wills, estates & trusts (including complex estate planning and trusts for families with children with disabilities), and contract work in family law, such as pre-nups and cohabitation agreements.
